CHRISTINA KREITZER

Christina is a self-taught hand embroidery artist based in Portland, Oregon. Originally from Ohio, she spent 20 years in the Bay Area before settling in the Pacific Northwest. She began sewing at age 10, learning cross-stitch and basic embroidery from her mother. Her work features semi-abstract portraits and contemporary interpretations of scenes, blending traditional techniques with a modern perspective. She incorporates vintage scrap fabrics and notions whenever possible, creating layers of texture and history in each piece.
